5 Things to Know about Emotional Authority

[00:00:00] Hey everyone, welcome back to the Aligned Alchemist. Today's episode piggybacks off of episode zero. Yes, I have an episode zero, which was the quick start guide for sacral entrepreneurs, a real one on one where I tell you in five minutes how to identify if you're a sacral being.

Obviously, a lot of the people coming to me already know they're a generator and a manifester. There's so many free reports on every coach's website these days. So you're gonna be able to identify that very quickly if you have an exact birth time. And so that episode tells you how to identify if you're a sacral being, which is 70 percent of the population. And so it's likely that it's you just by math. And also if you're attracted to me, you're probably a sacral being.

 In that episode, I talked about something called authority and authority is the way you make decisions. Sacral beings are quite easy. Sacral beings are quite easy. 

We have two types of authority. We have sacral authority and we have emotional authority. In this episode. I'm going to quickly tell you how to identify if you [00:01:00] have emotional authority. If you are familiar with emotional authority, I still encourage you to listen to this episode because might learn something new.

Emotional authority is not unique to us. You can be a manifester with You can be a projector with emotional authority. You can be a sacral being with emotional authority. Right there I've given you 99 percent of the population and 50 percent of the population has emotional authority. So if you have emotional authority, you're in good company.

How do you find out if you're emotional authority? Really easy. What we're going to do, we're going to go back to the instructions of episode zero. You are going to Google free human design chart. You're going to put in your accurate birth time and it's going to spit out a body graph. There's plenty of sites where you don't have to give the person your email. And then [00:02:00] you're going to spit out a body graph. And remember I told you in the episode zero, I said, you look at the body graph, you look at the base square. Remember, You go up one square. If that's filled in, you're a sacral being.

Now I want you to take your right hand and I want you to move to the side. Like that, one stop, like a subway stop, you're gonna go up, boom, and then you're gonna go to the right, boom, and you are going to hit a triangle, your finger's gonna hit a triangle, if that triangle is filled in, you're an emotional authority, if it's not filled in, you're a sacral authority, your sacral being with emotional authority if you've got that colored in if you don't have that colored in You're a sacral authority. We already did part zero.

If you're here, you've already listened to episode zero. So I'm not gonna explain whether or not you're a sacral being. We already know you are. So now you have just, you figured out which of the camps you're in. And so when we talk about emotional authority and we get really into the deep content , in season one, coming soon, , then, You'll know what we're talking about.

Human design is like boiling [00:03:00] an ocean. I could talk to you about depth and depth and depth, which is not what we're gonna do in the podcast. . Or I can break it down to the fundamental components so that you understand enough to keep going and not feel confused.

 So that is your decision making center. If you have an emotional authority, you make body decisions with that center. Five things I want you to know, five things I want you to take away from a foundational understanding of emotional authority.

Number one, it is the highest priority center. What do I mean by that? I mean that No matter who you are, if you had done the exercise I said above and you went and you felt, you saw that that triangle was filled in, you have emotional authority. It doesn't matter any other aspect of your chart. It doesn't matter what other centers you've got filled in or don't have filled in.

It doesn't matter if you're a sacral being, although that's the audience for the show. You have emotional authority and that is the most [00:04:00] highest center. The minute you've got that filled in, you have emotional authority, ? And that is really important. And why is that important? Well, I think the last foundational episode of the season, which will probably be the next episode, is going to be on centers.

What are they? Where do they come from? The centers in our body graph, the ones that are open, not colored in, Again, there's a nuance between undefined and open, not important for you to know right now. But if they are uncolored in, you are open to outside influence.

They are not you. They are conditioned and they change in the way they're conditioned based on your configuration and who you're with and what's happening in the sky. The centers that you have filled in are you. So if you think about the emotions center, it is your. Emotions, your clarity, I call it the clarity center and I'll explain later [00:05:00] why it is your clarity center.

And so you're making decisions for you from that place. If you had that center defined, but you are making decisions from some other place in the body graph. You are making decisions that might be from you. It could be from a different closed center, but it's not from what you really care about and it doesn't take into account the fact that your emotions are going to change.

 A decision that's right today might not be right tomorrow. So I think I might have over complicated that in an attempt to simplify it. Bottom line is, is number one, it's the highest priority. Maybe you don't need to know why. Number two, there is no truth in the [00:06:00] now. If you're new to human design, you're new to living your experiment, you're new to sacral authority, you're new to sacral response, you're new to emotional authority, you could ignore a lot of the dogma that's been given that everything is strategy and authority, strategy and authority, strategy and authority.

It's often touted by people who don't have sacral centers. And I have a hypothesis on that. That's for a future episode. And. Our way of responding to the world is in my opinion the most complex and the most nuanced and the most hidden from our bodies. So if you're like me you come from the non healing world and you are more cerebral in the way you approach things are very likely if you're attracted to me then you might have trouble listening to your sacral and the older you are the harder this is going to be because the more you've been conditioned by the old paradigm the more you've probably lost touch with your body and live in your head if you cannot Get all of this right away The takeaway is that [00:07:00] there's no truth in the now if you have that triangle filled in you have emotional authority if you're listening to this, So if you've got that triangle filled in You have emotional authority you have no truth in the now and the big takeaway is don't make big decisions without thinking about it Do not commit to things in a spontaneous way Do not commit to things That have an outlay of energy that is significant Significant is a subjective term without pausing for a beat, right?

Because when you are pausing, what you're doing is you're waiting for clarity. I call it the clarity center. I do not like the fact that it's called the emotion center because people think of the emotions as the mind. And I don't like that people call it the solar plexus center because, 

that's confusing. Thanks. You know, when I was talking about the sun on the cover in one of the episodes and , I said the solar plexus is our power, it's, that's associated with the [00:08:00] confidence and all that. That's associated with the solar plexus, which is in the center of the body. And calling it the solar plexus is, in my opinion, confusing.

It's like I live in New England and I don't know why these people came over here, risked life and limb and death and then they came here and they named all the towns. All of the counties, all of the streets, the same name is where they came from.

It's confusing. I don't know why people do that. But there it is. Let's call it the Clarity Center for clarity purposes.

And the reason why you want to wait for clarity is because if you have an emotional center to find, you're going But recognize that your emotions change. You might think one way about a decision one day, you might think one day about a decision another day, high, low, and you want to wait for neutral.

Number three is that it's not rational. And I just want to throw this in here because a lot of people. Say sleep on it or [00:09:00] wait three days or they give these like random rules.

I'm a sacred being with emotional authority. And when I was trying to learn this, none of this was useful to me. , I think people give a lot of generic shit on social media to make, I don't know, to sound like an authority to, I don't know, make people feel like they can follow along. But I, you know, it grinds my goat.

 Is that a saying? When people just say inaccurate shit that's not universalizing something. Universalizing something is taking a concept and making saying that everybody can get something out of it. Taking a concept and reducing it to simplicity to the point of it being inaccurate is generic.

They're not the same thing. I digress. The timeline for you to make a decision is going to be completely irrational. You might need a day to decide you're selling all of your belongings and moving to Hawaii, and you might need three [00:10:00] months to decide you want to trade in your car for a new car.

It took me a year to get clear on this podcast. And there are reasons for that on my astrological chart and other things that are happening where literally I'm reconstructing a new me. So I'm in an emotional wave within a larger metamorphosis container. But It's not rational. People aren't going to get it and you can't let anybody rush you is what you need to know.

Let's just talk about this for a second. Why is this so important? Why am I emphasizing this so much? Because let's think about this. If you're a sacral being with emotional authority, what you are doing is protecting your sacral energy. You are saying before I decide to commit to this thing, I'm going to make sure it's the right decision for me over time because I know that I have highs and lows.[00:11:00] 

I know that in world we live in, we want everyone to be happy. People medicate themselves, everything's positive psychology, but the reality is 50 percent of us have an emotional wave and it's natural to have highs and lows. There's light, there's dark, right? And so. I'm not talking about bipolar.

I'm not talking about real depression. I'm talking about natural ebb and flow that someone with an emotional Wave is gonna have with an emotional center is gonna have it's gonna come in a wave There are lots more detail to the emotion center and the wave and all that.

That's a that's a It's own podcast, but it's gonna come and go in a kind of a wave like fashion Think about the ocean you're gonna wait till there's calm seas, you're gonna wait till it's neutral, and then you can kind of gauge, like okay, now I can make a decision from here, and that's what you wanna do, and as a sacral being, you are protecting your life force energy. I gave you the story, golden nuggets from entrepreneurial mistakes.

I'll link that below. And I gave that story about that trip I took and all the backstory behind [00:12:00] that. Well, that would came from not listening to emotional authority. This is before I understood emotional authority. This was earlier on in my experiment. I mentioned I'd waited a long time to. Redeem that bonus. Well, it's because I had paid for that program, which yes was five figures. It was high five figures . I paid for that a long time ago So this decision was made a long time ago And I mentioned in that podcast that every emotional authority is going to have their story of a time in life where they just Oh my god, never again, I firmly believe every emotional authority who has any three line energy in their chart, I'm a majority of three lines, which is trial and error, learning the hard way, you're gonna have a story like that, especially if you're a little bit further in your journey.

So that's my story. And It's not cheap and it's all going to be fine and I'll never do it again. The reality is when you push against your sacral you actually burn out the battery and so the after effects are a lot more than just the time spent itself. Meaning [00:13:00] that you might travel for three days and then sleep for four days because you basically burned out the sacral.

You pushed it to do something it didn't want to do. You have to regenerate it back . It can throw you off course and as generators I already explained this we don't turn around quickly. We are like these Ocean liners there are lots of placements in the chart where you're gonna be more prone to getting stagnant than others, more prone to committing to what you said than others, manifesting generator less than a pure generator.

Do you have undefined spleen? Do you have certain gates and placements? But as a general rule, as a general universalizable concept, we are going to pivot less quickly and commit to things. And so we. We really need to be careful about what we commit to. That's a long winded way to say that emotional authority is there for that reason. I have an old iPhone, and the reason if you have these old [00:14:00] iPhones, it's not that old, but it's old, it needs to be replaced. And it's. You know, you know when it's they're trying to get you to replace it because what happens is it gets to like the last I don't know 30 and then it dies it's not reliable You can't rely on it to to be without a charger for more than a couple hours And so that's what I think of as the sacral.

 We're not these 24 hour go go go beings. Yes, we can commit. Yes We are more consistent when we're doing what we like But the opposite, we will also drain ourselves faster. We have less neutrality. So, you know, we're really, we could go 24 7 when we're fired up.

And then, yeah, we might need to, take a break. I don't, I don't think it's good to go 24 7, by the way. I think that's, we've been trained by society to do that because they want to get the most they can out of us. But let's say you, you're really energized and you're working on something. Well, if you do the opposite.

, you drain the battery doing stuff you don't want to do, well then that last 25 percent is just gone and it stays gone it needs to be recharged again and that's where we can get into like, I don't want to get out of bed, I'm depressed, something's wrong with me, I have no [00:15:00] energy and then we utilize other things like processed food or comfort food or caffeine or other ways to To try to motivate ourselves and then we maybe avoid because we need it can become a cycle because then we get ourselves behind and then we avoid things I can speak for myself if you are relating to this comment in the use a text feature in the show notes Let me know I would love to hear either, you know, what if I just what I just said resonated with you or I would love to hear your , oh my fucking God story about emotional authority.

I did this, I decided to get married, I decided to buy a car, I decided to do XYZ and it was a disaster. I want to know about it. Put it in the show notes for sure. It's a protection mechanism that is built into us. It is ensuring we're making decisions from a defined center. We're making decisions from our body because as sacred beings people want access to our energy.

we are the powerhorse of the earth. And so we need to make sure that we are making decisions about our actions in a [00:16:00] way that is going to serve us. You get to decide what's a big outlay of your energy. You know, I think that this is overemphasized in generic human design stuff.

Don't make any decisions. Don't do anything. It's like, yeah, you can go to the restaurant. You could get coffee with that person. You can Decide you want to guest on that podcast that's going to take an hour. I'm talking about big decisions. I'm talking about things that are going to have a huge long term effect.

 are you going to have to live with this over the, a long, long time? You don't want to be making a decision that's from an emotional high.

Okay. And you don't want to be just taking a decision from an emotional low. And going back to what I said about the emotion center being a horrible name for it is that you're going to think it's a mind. It's not the mind. I know it sounds like the mind. That's why I don't like the name. Clarity is a clarity feeling that you get in the body.

It's like this neutrality feeling. Unfortunately, you're never 100 percent sure. People say [00:17:00] it's only about 80 percent sure.. But it's this feeling like. You're not wrestling with the decision anymore. You're kind of like neutral on it.

And I choose to use emotional authority for only things that have big implications. I don't use it for day to day stuff. I'm not using my emotional authority to decide whether or not I record a podcast right now. I'm letting my stake role just tell me yes, that wants to do this. 

Number four,

it's a frequency. Every center has its own frequency and every center is emitting a frequency. And it's a wave you're emitting and the wave, the type of wave is going to be dependent on the channels or gates you've got coming off of your motion center. Et cetera?

Each type of channel is going to have a different type of wave That is something to be aware of but be aware of that. It is a frequency you are emitting to [00:18:00] the outside world and So, a lot of artists who might have been melancholy or labeled as melancholy they had emotional authority their art is very emotive writers painters, etc, and When you're around moody people If you don't have a defined emotion center, 

you might take on their emotions. You might take on that and feel guilty and want to people please and want to help and all that. , just understand that it's a frequency, it's a frequency that's emitting a wave and the wave is felt by those around it. And so those in the presence of someone with the emotional wave is feeling their way positively or negatively and that's something to be aware of.

And number five is that if it doesn't wait for you, it's not for you.

This is tough in society because in the business world, we are sold on make a decision now. Remember that emotional authority is 50 percent of the population, so it's not just us. And it is. The way that coaching is sold. It is the way that if you go to a retreat, they sell you something at the end of it.

 a lot of the stuff that people do in remote now, we were doing that in like hotels and all that.

So it's a way to really bathe people in conditioning, right? Because you're, you might be sharing a room, . Then we're in a room with these people for three days. We paid for the event and at the end they upsell you to the coaching program.

They upsell you to the blah, blah, blah. And if you sign before you leave the event, well then you get the bonus, then you get the this, then you get the that, [00:21:00] right? It's all based on creating a false sense of urgency. Whereas the truth is, if it's a high ticket program, You either can afford it or you can't.

Whether or not you're going to take 500 off of it is like . And then is the bonus or whatever you're going to get worth the regret you're going to get by the fact that you shouldn't have been in in the first place as well as the drain and the distraction it's going to take away from your business.

So you have to use a lot of this to put a new set of glasses on as you enter the business world and you navigate the business world and the regular world as to What is really going on here? They are manipulating the fact that 50 percent of the population have an emotional wave and they're gonna be in a high out of these events and then they're gonna buy at that high.

And now if you don't complete the program, don't do the program, . It doesn't matter. They have their money. And this is what they're taught and this is what, you know, if you've [00:22:00] ever done any traditional sales training, you get a yes or no, or you get them off the phone, right? Stuff that never sat with me and it never sat with me because I don't work that way. I will say I want to think about it and then I will come back in a week and plop down five figures and work with you. And there's a lot of people who have now started to integrate human design into their coaching because it's trendy but they still follow the traditional sales model of doing what I just said.

So you believe that emotional authority is real but then you don't actually practice it in the way that you run your business. You're full of shit. And I'm calling you out on this podcast. So it's up to all of us to Lead into our own authority and say I gotta think about it.

I'm not sure I Know I'm gonna wait on that and this could be for an apartment this could be for Contracting, or a job, or any opportunity. And I'm thinking big things here. I'm not talking about going out to dinner, guesting on a podcast or whether or not you want to get new curtains.

 You know, [00:23:00] you know, I mentioned, I think in one of the prior episodes that, I used to be a, , marketing consultant. And so marketing, consulting, and contracting, particularly in Silicon Valley, when I lived there.

Was very, very competitive because you had a lot of people with a lot of really prestigious backgrounds having worked at really prestigious companies who are then Taking a step back to raise children so they were contractors and consultants.

 There was a lot of supply and not as much demand And that was a time when mostly people worked on site So everyone was kind of competing for the same spots in the same geographic area And recruiters would call you I need your resume like in an hour You And then come back and the client wants you to start Monday , can you do it?

And you have to like jump through these hoops and make all these decisions. And it was very stressful. And I didn't know anything about human design back then. I didn't know anything about emotional authority. But I [00:24:00] just don't do that. I don't play that fucking game. I'm like, going back to what I was saying.

If it. It does not wait for you. It's not for you, which is not the same thing as being unprofessional. . I'm talking about making decisions that are , I'm committing to this, yes or no. And if someone cannot wait, like I get to think about it for even 24 hours, be it a coach, be it, you know, whatever, they want to create this false sense of urgency.

Well, maybe that apartment's not for you. That job's not for you. That contract's not for you. And that coach isn't for you. And This takes a lot of self trust and this takes a lot of trust in the universe. And that's why human design is not just a body system. It's a spiritual system because it's this assumption that you are on your path and you're being guided on your path in the right way possible through your body signals and they're working together

 This was a much deeper dive into emotional authority than I planned, [00:25:00] but hey, there you go. Find your frequency below. You got plenty of time to decide whether or not you want to be on that email list.

And you know, if it's for you, it's going to be for you. If it's not, it's not. You're going to use some level of scarcity in your business. That's never going to go away. It's just the intent behind it. And how are you using it? You have to trust that the people who need to think about it and when they finally think about it, maybe they're not spots available.

Maybe the price goes away. It wasn't for them. It doesn't have to be a all or nothing. It can just be a way for you to ensure that you are protecting your life force energy and honoring your inner authority. in the best way possible. There's a lot of people who say that if you just followed your strategy and authority, you don't need any of the rest of human design.

And I kind of agree with that because in theory, you're kind of following, everything else will quote, take care of itself. I don't agree with that in business. If you're marketing [00:26:00] yourself in any way, if you have a brand, if you're selling yourself and you're not selling in line with your design, you're not building business models in line with your design.

I do not think that following your strategy is enough. We're going to talk about that and find your frequency. And that's going to be a lot of what we talk about is really building your life and business around your design. Again, it's going to be a way to work with me in a way that will not come in this kind of intimate container again.

 I think that's it. I want to do a quick countdown to ensure that I landed this. Step zero is, , how to find your emotion center. Yes or no. Look at the chart. Look at the square, go up one square, go to the right, color it in, you've got emotional authority. Number one, it is the highest priority center.

If you have that defined, that trumps everybody else and that is your decision making. Number two, there is no truth in the now, because there's a wave and you are going to ride that wave and [00:27:00] get to a neutral state.

Number three. It's not rational. The amount of time you're going to take for decisions is not going to make sense. I'm talking about big implication decisions based on what you determined as big implication for your life and your energy and your money and your time. It's not going to make sense and it's inconsistent and you don't have to explain it to anybody else but you.

Number four is that it has a frequency. It emits a frequency. The type of frequency is going to depend on the gates and channels that are activated within that center and it's going to be a wave that other people are going to feel and you're going to affect those around you. 

It's not about emotions. It's like you're emitting your frequency Regardless of what else you try to do or not. It's a vibration. You can't not emit it. It's a vibe and number five if it does not wait for you.
